As the end of the Premier League season looms, talk about next season’s kit at Leeds United is hotting up.
Andrea Radrizzani has split opinion shince he took over Leeds United for his bold choice of kits each season.
The tonal badges of his first season in 2017/18 wasn’t a great start but home kits after that have been solid.
After that, he’s explored some interesting ideas when creating the away strips.
Last season, the grey and pink number will be remembered as the kit that Pablo Hernandez struck gold at Swansea City, while Raphinha’s love affair with the maroon kit has been a brilliant story this term.
Now, Footy Headlines have reportedly leaked Leeds’ away kit for next season:
In the report, Footy Headlines describe the kit:
The Adidas Leeds United FC 21-22 away football shirt has a modern color scheme – it combines a navy base with striking electricity yellow applications.
It’s another jump from what would be deemed ‘traditional’, but it’s a very stylish pattern and reverts back to Leeds’ old school blue-yellow combination.
When it was revealed on Twitter, as is the case with any kit leak, it divided opinion…
I’d be completely happy with that kit, but I can also see why some fands might not be too happy with it.
Last summer, we teamed up with Adidas for our kit supply and it’s clear that they can be a bit lazy when it comes to designs.
Illan Meslier’s black goalkeeper kit is the same kit as several other teams this season. Meanwhile, this has a striking resemblance to Arsenal’s current third kit.
While it’s a shame to see carbon copies of kits, I can’t avoid praising the style of this.
It’s obviously an unconfirmed leak, but it’s one that stands to reason with the patterns and how Adidas have played with the badge colours.
