Leeds United youngster Harry Gray is reportedly on Liverpool’s radar this year, not long after the club already lost Finlay Gorman to Manchester City.

Leeds are seeing the fruits of academy investment this season with three of their best performers coming from the youth setup in Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville and Pascal Struijk.

Others are looking to break through in the coming months and years, with Daniel Farke having a track record for blooding youth into a promotion-chasing side.

Liverpool want Archie gray

A report from HITC claims that the Whites midfielder Gray is attracting interest from multiple top flight clubs, including Liverpool.

Gray penned a new contract back in January to keep him at Elland Road until the summer of 2028, but it seemingly hasn’t deterred some of the Premier League’s most powerful from wanting to sign the 17-year-old.

He said this while appearing on Leeds’ Official Podcast this week:

“I’m a Leeds fan. There’s nowhere else I want to be, I wasn’t thinking about anywhere else. I just want to play here and enjoy my time here and try to help us get back to where we belong.”

Liverpool also interested in signing Harry Gray

The report also shares an intriguing update that Liverpool are looking at Archie’s younger brother, Harry Gray too.

Harry is in the academy at the moment and shining as he makes his way into the U18s side this term, with Leeds already losing one potentially “generational” talent in Finlay Gorman to Manchester City – a deal potentially worth £5million at the age of 15.

Gray has three goals in as many appearances in the U18 Premier League this season.

Leeds can’t lose another star youngster

Having seen Gorman opt to join Man City’s academy, Leeds will be fighting tooth and nail to ensure that the same doesn’t happen with Gray.

We have the advantage here with Gray that he has such a strong family connection to the club, and he’ll be seeing Archie starring in the senior side and wanting that for himself.

The idea of the two brothers playing in the same side would be an incredible story, and I’m sure Harry would have that in his mind too.
