Despite the poor start to the season, Leeds United currently find themselves in a decent position on the current form table.

Injuries and a lack of intensity compared to last season haven’t given Leeds the best of starts to their second season back in the Premier League.

The win against Norwich City at the weekend was only their second in the first 10 games, taking their tally to 10 points and lifting them out of the relegation zone to 17th.

While it was a deserved win, it wasn’t the prettiest and Leeds might be counting their lucky stars that a goalkeeping blunder is what decided the match.

That being said, there is still cause for optimism at the moment with Leeds’ current tally only four points worse than last term’s at this stage, plus the handful of key players to return.

The current form table over the last six games looks at Leeds favourably, as fan Lewis Deighton shared this image of the Transfermarkt form table:

This season’s surprise package Brentford sit below Leeds over the last six games, while the same can be said of the impressive Brighton and Crystal Palace sides.

Performances haven’t been of the same standard as last season, but this can give the side some optimism to take into a tough winter run.

Fans were somewhat split on this reveal though…

It does indicate that even though we haven’t been great so far, we’re still notching decent points on the board relative to other teams.

It has been a favourable run for us ao seven points from the last four is good enough, but we ought to start kicking on.

We’ve got a very tough run in December and if we’re still scraping points at that point, we could be in for a battle in 2022.

I’m still confident that we can turn our rut around when players come back into the fold because we’ve got far more quality than the teams we’re currently rubbing shoulders with.
