Rodrigo Moreno is set for a scan after dislocating his shoulder in Leeds United’s 1-1 draw with Everton last night in the Premier League.

Leeds came from a goal down to draw with Everton thanks to Luis Sinisterra’s second-half strike, which cancelled out Anthony Gordon’s opener.

However, there was a fresh injury problem for Jesse Marsch, who lost stand-in skipper Rodrigo to a dislocated shoulder in the first-half.

The extent of Rodrigo’s setback is not yet known, with Marsch confirming that the 31-year-old is set for a scan to get to the bottom of how long he might be on the sidelines for, as he told Leeds’ official media streams.

”Let’s see (about the timeframe). I’ve never had that before, a dislocated shoulder, but you can see that when people get that it’s incredibly painful. Sometimes it can be something small, but other times it can be something that’s a couple of months. He feels better, so that’s a good sign, but we will have to do a scan and see what the damage is to help him heal as quickly as possible.”

Rodrigo has struck four goals in the opening five fixtures of the Premier League season, leading the team in the absence of Patrick Bamford, who stepped off the bench last night.

Leeds face Brentford away on Saturday afternoon.

There were a lot of positives last night despite Leeds not taking three points off Everton.

However, one major worry is Rodrigo’s injury and the lack of depth Leeds have got in attack.

If he’s out for any period of time and the club don’t move in the transfer market, they are relying on the youth of Joe Gelhardt and patched up body of Bamford.

The hope is, then, that Rodrigo’s setback isn’t serious.

As Marsch states, it could be months, but it could also be weeks depending on this scan.
