Leeds United still eyeing deal for eight-cap Spanish international

|

Leeds United remain interested in the potential signing of Wolves winger Adama Traore.

That’s according to a report from 90Min, who say that the 26-year-old is set to leave Molineux during the summer transfer window, despite having a year left on his contract.

Leeds were credited with an interest in Traore as far back as last summer, although no deal has yet materialised, with the winger spending the second half of last season on loan at Barcelona.

But while the Spanish giants have elected not to make that deal permanent, it seems the winger – who has been capped eight times by Spain – will still be on the move again this summer.

According to this latest update, Traore is still set to leave Wolves permanently during the transfer window, which has attracted plenty of attention from elsewhere in the Premier League.

It is thought that Leeds, as well as Tottenham and Newcastle, are all still interested in signing Traore, having previously made their interest in his services known to Wolves.

With a year remaining on his contract, any club looking to sign Traore permanently this summer, will have to pay a fee for his services.

This is certainly an interesting one to consider for Leeds.

With speculation continuing around the future of Raphinha, it is likely they will need to add to their wing options this summer.

Traore can certainly do a job in that area, and he is a hugely dangerous proposition on his day, although there may be some concern about the struggle he has to consistently find top form.

Even so, with just a year left on his contract, Wolves may struggle to command a big fee here, meaning this could be worth looking into for those in charge at Elland Road.

Should Leeds reignite their interest in Traore?
