Leeds United are stepping up their pursuit of Wolves winger Adama Traore with the transfer window now open.

That’s according to a report from TEAMtalk, who say that the winger’s valuation at Molineux is now tumbling.

Leeds have been linked with a move for Traore for some time now, but a deal has so far yet to materialise.

The winger spent the second half of last season on loan at Barcelona, and while he is now back at Molineux, it seems that may not be for long.

According to this latest update, Leeds continue to retain an interest in the 26-year-old, and could be set to make a move for Traore, who they see as a potential replacement for Raphinha.

It is thought that Traore has made it clear to Wolves that he will not be signing a new deal with the club, with just a year remaining on his contract in the Midlands.

As a result, it has been suggested that Wolves will now be willing to sell Traore for a fee of around £20million, or potentially an even lower amount.

This is an interesting one to consider for a Leeds perspective.

There is no doubt that Traore can be a huge asset for a club such as Leeds, given the pace and creativity that he can provide.

However, it does feel as though questions remain about whether he can make that impact on a consistent basis, which he has struggled to do at times during his career.

But with his price tag dropping, so does the financial risk associated with this deal, meaning it could yet be one that is worth considering for those in charge at Elland Road.

Should Leeds pursue a deal for Traore with a £20million price tag?
