Brad Friedel has been praising Brenden Aaronson for his adaptation to life in the Premier League with Leeds United.

Leeds swooped swiftly to sign Aaronson on the back of retaining their Premier League status last season, bringing the USMNT forward to England.

Aaronson has made a positive start to life in Leeds, too, which has drawn praise from his compatriot Friedel.

Speaking with Betway about Aaronson, Friedel highlighted his delight at how the 21-year-old is adapting and what he’s showing. He also feels that Leeds’ supporters will love him for his goals and assists.

“Aaronson I don’t know as well in regards to his personality, but just watching him, he has done so well. It is great for the United States development side of things.

“I know we have been focusing more on that and pouring more resources into that, so it’s good that we are seeing some big strides being made. Aaronson is a bit different, he’s a player with a bit more guile.

“They’ll love him for his assists, his goals, and his work rate.”

Aaronson made an immediate impact in the Premier League with Leeds, putting pressure on Rayan Ait-Nouri as he scored an own goal in the 2-1 over Leeds. His first official goal for the club came in the 3-0 win over Chelsea.

There was an assist in the 1-1 draw with Everton, whilst Aaronson has had other involvements with two second assists.

Aaronson is something of the poster boy of Leeds’ recruitment from the summer gone by.

The USMNT forward was a player they wanted in January and they quickly got him on board in the summer once safety was confirmed.

He’s chipped in impressively in the opening six fixtures of the season and you sense there’s more to come when he moves into the central attacking midfield position.

That’s where he assisted Luis Sinisterra’s goal against Everton, taking the ball on the turn and driving at defenders. It’s a real strength of his and it’ll be good to see more of that before the World Cup.

Leeds’ fans, and Friedel, will have an interest in that heading into the latter part of 2022.
