Without a doubt the hardest game of the season, Leeds were nowhere near their best but showed bottle that they were lacking last year.

Bailey Peacock Farrell – 5 – For me the first Swansea goal is on him, you HAVE to save that. Made a big save late on though.

Into the defence…

Jamie Shackleton – 8 – Probably our best player and even he made a few naive errors, his assist for Roofe’s goal was beautiful to watch.

Gaetano Berardi – 6 – Went missing for McBurnie’s second goal but have to respect the performances he’s putting in playing out of position.

Luke Ayling – 7 – Solid enough performance from Ayling who was shifted to centre-back at the last-minute, playing without any centre-backs was a strange one, though.

Barry Douglas – 6 – Douglas’ least impressive performance so far, his passing was all over the place and he wasn’t as effective as he has been.

Into the midfield…

Kalvin Phillips – 1 – Poor guy, couldn’t really have gone any worse for him. Hopefully this doesn’t ruin his confidence too much.

Lewis Baker – 7 – Baker did well in place of Phillips, his passing was excellent, especially when he laid it on a plate for Harrison at the end…

Mateusz Klich – 7 – Started slowly like the rest of the team but grew into the game in the Phillips role, will be interesting to see who starts v Norwich.

Samu Saiz – 5 – His decision-making was shocking at times, he never seems to shoot when it’s the most obvious thing in the world, he does put a great shift in though.

Into the attack…

Gjanni Alioski – 3 – Only noticed him when he was offside, hence why he was removed at half time.

Jack Harrison – 3 – Not sure he’s quite up to this level yet, why he didn’t shoot at the end, we will never know.

Pablo Hernandez – 7 – Pablo was having a quiet game, but you can never rule him out. Great finish.

Kemar Roofe – 7 – I think he touched the ball once before he scored, great movement and positioning from him.

Patrick Bamford – 7 – Bamford was bright when he came on, great movement and ball for his assist too.

Overall a good point in a game we definitely would have lost last year, the response to this game against Norwich will be key.

  • Henry says:

    Great point in the circumstances.
The loss of Cooper shaped the game, and left our back line in tatters at times.
Swansea looked very big, all over the pitch!!!
I thought Marcelo took action quickly, with what he had.
We could have won it in the end.
We need a new centre back for the Norwich game.

    MOT!
