Leeds United player ratings v Sheffield Wednesday

Another draw. Maybe we’ll end the season with 46 points. The main positives from today are that Leeds have had a bid of between 3-4 million accepted from Watford for Fernando Forestieri and also look like signing Anthony Limbombe from NEC in Holland. Anyway lets get into the ratings!

Marco Silvestri – 7 – Didn’t really have much to do and I haven’t seen the goal back but it looked like a world-class goal to me. Didn’t have any crosses to deal with and passed it short as much as possible so we’ll see how that goes.

Into the defence…

Chris Wood 7? Watch the game you plank at least 2 of the off sides were on. Wood hsd a really good game deserves st least an 8

So my rating is one below what you would give him and you call me a plank? Nice one genius.

Rumoured purchases make me nervous Byram will be sold before window closes. His recent performances suggest the same?

  • Rob says:

Absolutely diabolical ratings. Wood and Dallas were both poor yes one assisted and one scored apart from that.. Rubbish! Byram most definitely not the worst player with a 5, Phillips looked uninterested and shot far too much resulting in a block and them breaking away! Useless ratings.

Dallas had a good game, especially on the right hand side. Byram did nothing at all apart from fall over so I think that’s more than justified. Chris Wood held up play well but was offside too much for me.

Just the odd questions if I may …

1 … what did you see in Liam Cooper’s performance to justify a 7? Apart from getting well beaten for the goal, he is, surely, fast becoming a one trick pony because of his inability to use his right foot … his constant use of the long crossfield ball looking for Sam Byram, or at times, Chris Wood is predictable, cuts out the more creative midfield players, but worst of all, gives away possession in the majority of cases.

I thought the only thing he did wrong in the game was the goal and that was a world class finish that wouldn’t usually happen. I think Chris Wood is a goalscorer and as long as he does that he’s fine by me. If we sign some more creative players as rumoured then I’m sure he’ll improve.
