In many ways that was Leeds’ best performance of the season, we absolutely battered them for the vast majority and somehow only ended up with a point. There were a large range of levels from Leeds’ XI today, so let’s get into it…

Bailey Peacock-Farrell- 7 – Nothing he could do about that unbelievable goal, saved the only other shots to test him.

Into the defence…

Luke Ayling – 8 – Ayling was brilliant tonight, solid in defence but even more impressive in attack, he seemed to get in behind the Wednesday defence on a ridiculous amount of occasions.

Pontus Jansson – 7 – His passing at times is diabolical which is likely why Berardi was in the side, a good defensive performance from the Swede though.

Liam Cooper – 7 – He’s never far off making a terrible mistake but he held himself together enough to get us through it tonight.

Barry Douglas – 6 – Douglas was in all the right positions and played some great football but his rating has to suffer for that terrible miss in the first half. How, Barry?

Into the midfield…

Kalvin Phillips – 7 – Back to his usual self today, in the right place at the right time to make the tackles and he only made one terrible pass, progress! Probably should have scored though.

Mateusz Klich – 9 – Klich absolutely dominated the midfield tonight and turned up with yet another massive goal for Leeds. He made Barry Bannan look terrible.

Samu Saiz – 8 – His link up play and crossing was top-notch today, unfortunately he was let down by the finishing around him. The decision to take him off for Forshaw was unbelievable.

Into the attack…

Gjanni Alioski – 2 – I’m sorry, he clearly puts a lot of effort in and blah blah. But for real though, he seems to be addicted to being offside, putting in absolutely terrible crosses and having the finish of a donkey. Please drop him Bielsa.

Jack Harrison – 3 – Harrison was invisible at times tonight and has taken a big step backwards since the Preston game, his final ball was lacking throughout and his decision-making was bizarre.

Tyler Roberts – 5 – A mixed bag for Roberts, in the first half he may as well not have been on the pitch but in the second half his runs in behind and link-up play were much improved. Even so, if Roofe or Bamford are playing tonight Leeds are taking home the three points.

Clearly it’s two massive points dropped for Leeds and the injuries are really starting to become noticeable. We really need Roofe and Hernandez back.

Let us know what you thought of the game today!

IMO lack of goals tonight were not just due to bad finishing..our wingers were awful and decent crosses into the box were non existent..Harrison & Alioski need to be dropped for next game and get someone wide who can actually whip in a good cross…

  • Mark Swift says:

Decent performance but one weak link as got to be Alioski ..

  • Batty says:

I wish to God people would stop using Alioski as a scapegoat, sure his end product could be better but tonight he put in a pretty good shift, tracked back well, got into numerous pretty decent scoring positions and was pretty unlucky not to get on the scoresheet, he also put in a few pretty decent crosses, to give him a 2 is an absolute joke, likewise Harrison & Roberts did pretty well, end product or final ball missing but put in plenty of effort and likewise the points should reflect that, a very good all round performance which we should have easily won, if we won 10 nil i bet there would be still reason to moan.

  • Batty says:

Dont worry Berardi will be back soon, someone else to have a pop at

  • Henry. says:

We are still playing well and dominating games!
Lady Luck has deserted us, but while we keep playing the goals will come again!!

    MOT!!!

You don’t know what you are on about. Harrisions energy second half was excellent. Alioski was good loads if effort and caused Wed problems. Yes he should have had 2 which was frustrating. Cooper and Pontius were excellent. A brilliant all doing team performance how you can criticise individuals is beyond me.

  • Bri says:

Some fans think like babies. Patience required. A settled team is vital. If you keep dropping your ‘worst’ player, how do you get consistency?

  • Pat says:

Sure enough Lady Luck has deserted us but trying to make excuses for Alioski is a joke. He is just awful, the lad just doesn’t cut it. He tries but no not for me. Can’t wait for Pablo and Bamford and Berardi to come back.
Still a decent performance away from home, but we need everyone fit and back fighting for places.

    M.O.T !!!!!!!!????
