As comprehensive of a win as you are likely to see. 3-0, but should have been more like 6.

Kiko Casilla – 8 –Reading hardly tested him but he was confident and calm at the back, which reflects well on his defence.

Into the defence…

Luke Ayling – 7 – Some sloppy play at times but not a bad game overall, possibly lucky to avoid being sent off before being subbed for Dallas.

Pontus Jansson – 8 – Jansson dealt with Reading so easily I’m not sure he was even awake for most of it, a doddle.

Liam Cooper – 8 – The consistency of Cooper still amazes me, what a leader he has been this season and it continued tonight.

Gjanni Alioski – 7 – Some great cross field balls that are becoming more and more frequent now, got caught a few times defensively but Reading were too poor to make us pay.

Into the midfield…

Kalvin Phillips – 8 – Vintage Kalvin Phillips. Ryan East was making his debut in midfield for Reading but Kalvin made sure that was a debut to forget, he ran the show.

Mateusz Klich – 8 – More like the Klich of old, running the Reading midfield ragged and a wonderfully taken goal too.

Tyler Roberts – 8 – His quick feet were on show tonight, along with his turn of pace that made him a nightmare to play against.

Into the attack…

Pablo Hernandez – 9 – Started the game off slowly but quickly grew into it with two beautiful goals. What a man he is.

Jack Harrison – 8 – Another strong game for Harrison who is showing good signs of consistency that he lacked throughout the first half of the season.

Patrick Bamford – 7 – Brought others into the game nicely and pressed the Reading defence well. Other than that, he should have scored at least three and he’ll have been devastated not to.

Overall, a top quality showing from a top quality side, Sheffield United somehow managed to win despite having 10 men for 55 minutes. Saturday’s game has to be the biggest since the Championship playoff final. Come on Leeds!
