Leeds United player ratings v Nottingham Forest

|

Luke Ayling – 8 – Another solid performance from the ever-consistent Ayling. Dealt with the threat of Ben Osborn and Barrie McKay very well and got forward plenty of times to support Alioski down our right hand side.

Pontus Jansson – 8 – Made some important challenges to deny Forest from getting in behind. Looked as solid as ever and his partnership with Cooper is very strong.

Liam Cooper – 8 – Cooper is proving everyone wrong with his performances so far this season, he looks a totally different player and he is well deserving of the four-year contract he signed recently. Absolutely solid today and never gave Forest a look-in. Certainly doing himself proud in the captains role.

Vurnon Anita – 8 – I thought Anita struggled midweek against Newport but he was back to his best today. He won plenty of tackles and was decent in supporting the attack. Never really misplaced a pass from what I can remember either.

Into the midfield…

Not sure we were watching same match re Ayling – Mr Dependable had a rare poor game – ball watching; sucked in and over committing too often and given hard time by McKay. Great that team still put in overall great performance even given his (surely one off) lapse.

Most commentators gave rave reviews on Ayling v Forest
