Once again Frank Lampard’s Derby County have been taught a lesson by Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United and it feels excellent. Leeds were by far the better side and thankfully got some refereeing decisions in our favour for once. Into the ratings…

Kiko Casilla – 8 – Didn’t have a shot to save throughout the game but commanded his area well and caught every ball that came his way.

Defence

Luke Ayling – 8 – A brilliant first half followed up by a solid second, he was probably our most attacking threat down the right, a joy to watch at times.

Gaetano Berardi – 8 – Berardi has been poor in recent outings but today he came in when we needed him most and didn’t give Derby a sniff.

Liam Cooper – 8 – Cooper led by example as always, first to every header and stronger than everybody in a Derby shirt.

Stuart Dallas – 9 – Possible MOTM for me, a right-winger playing that well at left back deserves enormous credit. Quality.

Midfield

Kalvin Phillips – 8 – Kalvin did what Kalvin does best, breaks up attacks and pings the ball around delightfully. Took some great corners as well.

Adam Forshaw – N/A – Wasn’t really on the pitch long enough to make an impact.

Jamie Shackleton – 8 –
You never want to see a player injured but this substitution could literally win us promotion. Shack is so much more of a threat going forward, his pace scares teams and he was brilliant today.

Matuesz Klich – 7 – Klich had a quieter game than those around him but still linked up play nicely. Got away with a headbutt, too.

Attack

Pablo Hernandez – 5 – The only player who looked really off-it at times today. If Pablo played as well as he’s capable today, it would have been a much more comfortable victory.

Jack Harrison – 9 – Harrison picked the right today to have his best performance in a Leeds shirt. None stop running and an absolute peach of a ball for the winning goal.

Kemar Roofe – 9 – Wonderful movement all game long and a beautiful finish to match the ball, Kemar Roofe is back baby. He just loves playing against Frank Lampard’s Derby County.

Let us know what you thought of the game today!

Kiko 8…he looks a bit dodgy to me, his kicking is shocking

  • Batty says:

Klich didn’t get away with the headbutt, he was booked, bit of an insult to actually call it a headbutt, lol
