A typical Leeds game really, we didn’t take our chances when they came and half of Leeds have lost their fingernails. But we got the job done in the end, a great defensive performance.

Kiko Casilla – 7 – Dealt with everything that came his way, almost got caught out in the second half when he came running out of his goal.

Into the defence…

Luke Ayling – 9 – Possibly Ayling’s best game so far this season, his header for Bamford’s goal was excellent.

Pontus Jansson – 8 – Jansson had Bristol City’s striker’s life today, he won every battle. At one point he won a header, knocked a Bristol City player over and looked over him like Wladimir Klitschko after a knockout.

Liam Cooper – 7 – On a momentous day for Cooper, he was as consistent as ever. Leading by example.

Gjanni Alioski – 8 – Possibly the biggest surprise of the season, Alioski is brilliant at left back. It was a surprising decision to move him further forward.

Into the midfield…

Kalvin Phillips – 9 – In the first half especially, Kalvin dominated the midfield. There was a moment where KP put a good cross in and was there to collect it on the edge of the box when it came out.

Mateusz Klich – 6 –
Not one of Klich’s strongest games, his decision-making was poor at times. Still put in a good shift as always though.

Tyler Roberts – 7 – Got into some great positions and good link-up play with Pablo and co, should have finished a good chance in the second half though.

Into the attack…

Pablo Hernandez – 7 – Not quite vintage Pablo but a good enough performance from the maestro.

Jack Harrison – 8 –
One of the best players in a Leeds shirt today, he had the beating of Bailey Wright all day. Surprising decision from Bielsa to take him off.

Patrick Bamford – 7 –
Great finish for the goal but his injury is very worrying with Roofe already out. Did well to battle on as long as he did.
