Leeds United player ratings v Brentford – Finally back to winning ways

|

Gaetano Berardi – 7 – As typical a Berardi performance you are likely to see, defended well with a few crunching tackles along the way. My favourite part of his day was when clearly frustrated with refereeing decisions, he decided to take out that anger on the ball and launched it into the West Stand so hard that it might have taken out a pensioner.

Pontus Jansson – 8 – A very solid performance from Jansson today, the key factor in keeping a clean sheet for what feels like the first time in a decade.

Liam Cooper – 9 – A mistake-free performance from Cooper and finally, at long last, he finished one of those chances he keeps getting. It’s fair to say it’s been coming.

Vurnon Anita – 5 – It can’t be difficult to be the man who follows De Bock after his disaster at Derby, right? Wrong. Anita was torn to pieces in the first half, all of Brentford’s joy coming down their right hand side. He improved slightly in the second half but I think it’s probably worth giving De Bock another go.

Into the midfield…
