There really is never a dull moment with Leeds United. A game that could easily have been flat due to Leeds’ failure to secure automatic promotion and Villa having secured their place in the playoffs, was anything but.

Kiko Casilla – 7 – Made one good save but other than that had a quiet day and that speaks of Leeds’ dominance throughout the contest.

Luke Ayling – 7 – Got forward well throughout, final ball was lacking at times but he’s found some consistency to his form when we need it most.

Pontus Jansson – 8 – Dealt well with Villa’s forwards all day long, it was no surprise that he was fuming at having to let Villa score a goal.

Liam Cooper – 8 – Clattered into Jack Grealish early on and that set the tone for the rest of the game, it was a fair tackle too.

Stuart Dallas – 6 – Got beat for pace a few too many times but was solid on the ball, unlucky to go off through injury.

Gaetano Berardi – 6 – Defensively sound but he let the team down on the ball at times, some really slack passing.

Kalvin Phillips – 9 – Man of the match for me, he had Grealish in his pocket all game and it was great to see him taking set pieces. He put in some of the best corners I’ve seen all season.

Adam Forshaw – 7 – Nothing too flashy, but gave the midfield some legs and linked up nicely with Klich.

Mateusz Klich – 8 – Klich seemed to be freed up by Forshaw’s presence and got on the ball more than he has been doing in recent times. Took his perfectly legitimate goal wonderfully, too.

Jack Harrison – 3 – It’s really just not happening for Harrison and I really don’t think we should be starting him in the playoffs.

Tyler Roberts – 8 – Roberts on the other hand was brilliant, he’s direct and runs straight past defenders rather than taking forever to get the ball in the box. He should start in the playoffs.

Pablo Hernandez – 7 – Still not back to his unbelievable best but a much-improved Pablo from the last two games.

Patrick Bamford – 3 – His confidence is at rock bottom, he seems to come far too deep for the ball and is never in the box when it matters. Roofe is supposed to be back for Ispwich and we’d be foolish not to start him.
