A brilliant performance from Leeds with arguably the outcome we wanted, we can focus on promotion now.

Illan Meslier – 9 – What a debut from the 19-year-old, he was faultless. His distribution is better than Kiko’s, genuinely, and some good saves mixed in too.

Luke Ayling – 8 – Great first half, a bit sloppy with the ball in the later stages, hopefully he’s healthy for Saturday.

Ben White – 9 – White showed exactly what he was about last night, solid in defence and brings the ball out like only a truly elite player can.

Gaetano Berardi – 7 – Typical Berardi performance really, solid enough but lost Lacazette for Arsenal’s winner which proved pivotal.

Barry Douglas – 8 – This was a big test for Douglas and he came through it well, gives us good shape as a more stereotypical left back than Alioski.

Kalvin Phillips – 9 – MOTM for me, he had Ozil in his pocket for the first half and was the shining star of the second.

Robbie Gotts – 7 – What a game to make your debut in and he came through it with flying colours, if only he’d taken that chance early on, but hard to blame him for that.

Matuesz Klich – 8 – What we’ve come to expect from Klich, lovely intricate play on the counter and great at stealing the ball off of the opponents when they’re trying to break.

Jack Harrison – 8 – Harrison had a really strong performance especially in the first half, but he isn’t half infuriating at times. Second-half he had so many chances to put a good ball in but it was sadly lacking.

Gjanni Alioski – 8 – We weren’t expecting much from Alioski as a winger but he was great last night, energy for days and some great balls into the box.

Patrick Bamford – 7 – Bamford held the ball up really well against strong opposition, but he really just needs to take his chances more often. We should have won that game.

  • Henry says:

Referee was a disgrace and VAR is a joke!!
Arsenal should have had 2 players sent off in the 2nd half.
The Arsenal manager told his team to be more aggressive in the 2nd half – and they were!!!
