Michael Skubala is doing an excellent job as interim manager of Leeds United.

That’s according to right-back Rasmus Kristensen, who has praised the 40-year-old for his efforts, despite the struggles the Whites are enduring.

How have things gone for Skubala at Leeds?

Following the sacking of Jesse Marsch earlier this month, Skubala was placed in interim charge of first-team affairs at Elland Road.

After back to back games against Manchester United, which yielded a 2-2 draw and 2-0 defeat for Leeds, it was confirmed that Skubala would remain in charge for the club’s upcoming fixtures.

Under the 40-year-old, the Whites then suffered a major blow on Saturday, when they were beaten 1-0 by relegation rivals Everton at Goodison Park.

That defeat has not only lifted the Toffees out of the relegation zone, but also seen Leeds drop to second from bottom in the standings, two points from safety.

What has Kristensen made of Skubala’s time at Leeds so far?

Despite that latest disappointment, it seems that the Denmark international has been impressed with what he has seen from Skubala, and how he has set up the side.

Giving his verdict on the interim manager following that defeat to Everton, Kristensen told LUFCTV: “I think Skubs is doing hell of a job. He has been able to keep the team together and put together good game plans. I think he is doing a really good job.”

You do feel as though Skubala deserves credit for how he has done as interim manager.

The Leeds Under 21s coach has been thrown into a very tricky situation with an out of form first-team, and has handled himself well in circumstances, while also getting some promising signs on the pitch.

Ultimately though, football is very much a results business, and so far, he has been unable to get the ones that Leeds will need to keep themselves in the Premier League.

As a result, it does feel as though pressure is building on the board, to get a permanent replacement for Jesse Marsch in as quickly as possible.

STOP blaming manager and the board yes they f*cked up but again the trouble is the players NOT the board or the manager we are set up to win we have good players but we are devoid of passion, desire, pride in the shirt and no one knows how challenge forcefully for the ball, quite a team of quitters
