Liverpool look to be turning up the heat on signing Porto’s Luis Diaz, perhaps opening the door for Leeds United to swoop for Takumi Minamino.
In what we hoped would be an exciting change to the transfer philosophy under Marcelo Bielsa, it looks as though Leeds are set to have a virtually silent month.
An attacking midfielder is still a signing that the fans will be praying for late in the day, given the lack of natural options there.

Brenden Aaronson looks like someone Leeds will have to wait until the summer for, so that link is one best avoided for now.
However, a surprise move that revealed itself last night was that Leeds have registered an offer for Liverpool’s Takumi Minamino – as per The Independent.
Said offer was subsequently rejected by the Reds, but their transfer activity suggests that they could be open to a sale of the Japanese attacker, should the Whites offer again.
The Times’ Paul Joyce has reported that Liverpool are looking to finalise a £37.5million deal for Porto winger Luis Diaz.
This could open the door for Minamino to move on, if Leeds are interested in a late swoop.

Get it done.
The fact we’re happy to sit tight until summer doesn’t really make any sense when there are viable candidates out there to sign.
It’s a massive gamble to go through this window and not make an addition when others are strengthening below us.
We have known about our weaknesses in midfield since promotion and yet we’re still waiting for some solutions.
