Sevilla are rivalling Leeds United for the signing of Club Brugge winger Noa Lang.

That’s according to a report from Spanish outlet El Dasmarque, who say that the La Liga are now eyeing up a move for the 22-year-old.

Lang enjoyed an outstanding season on loan at Club Brugge last season, scoring 17 goals and providing 11 assists in all competitions.

Brugge then made his deal permanent this summer, although Lang could still be sold in the coming weeks for a quick profit.

It was reported by The Telegraph at the start of the window that Leeds are interested in Lang. Now though, it seems they are not alone with their desire to sign the winger.

According to this latest update, Sevilla have also placed Lang on a list of targets they could look to sign this summer to reinforce their attack.

However, it is thought that the La Liga club have yet to make an official offer for the Dutchman. Lang’s asking price, said to be between €20million and €25million, is something that could apparently cause problems for Sevilla.

Lang is one of a number of winger who have been linked with Leeds this summer.

As a result, while Sevilla’s interest may make it harder for them to a deal, it may not be catastrophic for Leeds.

That interest in other wide options means the will still have potential targets they will be able to bring in to strengthen the wide areas, even if they do miss out on Lang to Sevilla or another club.

However, with the season now fast approaching, they may well want to get a deal done one way or another, then they can start to turn their attention to matters on the pitch.
