Leeds United are interested in signing Southampton striker Che Adams this summer.

That’s according to journalist Alan Nixon, who says that the 26-year-old could be available for a move before the window closes.

Centre forward remains an area that Leeds need to strengthen in before the window closes in little more than a month, and Adams is the latest name to be linked with a switch to Elland Road.

According to this latest update, Leeds are keen on a move for the Scotland international as they look to bolster their attack, and a deal could apparently be possible.

It is thought that Leeds may be able to successfully bid for the striker, who has apparently dropped further down the pecking order at St Mary’s this summer.

Meanwhile, there is a suggestion that Adams himself could be open to a move, if it ensures that he gets more regular playing time.

Having joined Southampton from Birmingham back in the summer of 2019, Adams has scored 21 goals and provided 11 assists in 110 appearances in all competitions for the Saints.

There are two years remaining on the striker’s contract with Southampton, securing his future at St Mary’s until the end of the 2023/24 season.

This does look at though it could be a rather good signing for Leeds to make.

With a new striker option still needed at Elland Road, Adams could be a useful option to fill that void in Jesse Marsch’s side, given he has already shown he is capable of making a direct impact at this level.

Indeed, signing the 26-year-old from a top-flight rival may be seen as something of a coup, given the fact these two could be battling in a similar region of the table in the coming campaign.

You feel that if Adams is indeed available, then this could also be an affordable deal for Leeds, which means this does look to be a deal that is well worth pursuing for the club.
