Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha have been spotted in training this week, suggesting that the Leeds United pair could well be in the squad to take on Tottenham this lunchtime.

Leeds host Spurs in the Premier League’s lunchtime kick-off today, but had serious doubts over the availability of Phillips and Raphinha.

It looked as though the pair would miss out, but Leeds’ recent training ground reveal suggests the exact opposite.

Phillips missed Leeds’ clash with Brighton due to a problem in his knee, with Leeds losing out 2-0 at the AMEX Stadium without their midfield lynchpin.

In Raphinha’s case, he’s missed the clashes with Liverpool, Man United and Brighton due to a thigh injury picked up late in the day against Manchester City a month ago.

Marcelo Bielsa had suggested he could be without both again today when Leeds face Spurs, but the club’s latest training video features footage of both alongside the rest of the senior squad.

Footage of Raphinha was prominent in the video, whilst Phillips was seen less regularly, but still enough to suggest he could be involved be Spurs.

Well, well, well.

Bielsa said that Leeds were monitoring the pair on a day-by-day basis and this suggests they are making the key step at just the right time.

Phillips has only missed one game and it would be little surprise to see him play from the start, but Raphinha has been absent a month now and Bielsa could hold him back.

Nevertheless, he’s our game-breaker and could be the difference against Tottenham, so you may be minded to include him.

Whatever way you look at it, though, this is a huge boost.
