Leeds United could make a fresh bid to sign winger Ryan Kent from Rangers in the final days of the summer transfer window.

That’s according to a report from The Daily Mail, who say that the Whites are considering the possibility of making a new move to sign the 25-year-old.

Kent is a name that will likely be familiar to plenty of Leeds fans, with the winger having already been linked with the club in recent years.

Former Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa was apparently a long-term admirer of the winger, although he was never able to secure a deal to bring him to Elland Road.

Now however, it seems there is a chance that Leeds could make another attempt to do just that, with less than three days to go in the market.

According to this latest update, the Whites are considering a fresh move for Kent, after their interest in each of the last two transfer windows.

It is thought that Jesse Marsch would want a replacement for Dan James out wide if he was to move on this summer, amid interest from Tottenham.

Kent is also now into the final year of his contract with Rangers, meaning this could be their last chance to receive a fee for the his services.

This is certainly something that should be well worth keeping in mind for Leeds.

If James is to move on in the next couple of days, finding a replacement will be vital, and the fact they have some background on Kent, means this could be a deal they could do in the time left in the window.

With just a year remaining on his contract at Rangers as well, there is also the chance this could be a more affordable for Leeds too, which would make it appealing in that sense too.

However, given Rangers have just qualified for the group stages of the Champions League, where they will faces Kent’s old club Liverpool, it could be hard to tempt him to make a move away from Ibrox right now.
