Leeds United are one of the sides looking to sign 23-year-old winger Luis Palma from Greek side Aris this summer.
Sunday is going to have a huge say on the quality of signings Leeds are able to make this summer, with relegation looking more than likely with a two-point gap to safety in their way.
Despite not knowing what division they will be in next season, Leeds are going to be already soudning out potential signings through their scouting network that has remained in place despite Victor Orta’s departure.
Luis Palma to Leeds?
A report from Honduran outlet Diez claims that Leeds are one of the sides looking to sign 23-year-old attacker Luis Palma, currently playing for Aris in the Greek Super League.
The Honduras international has been a star player in the Greek top flight this season, scoring 13 goals and registering eight assists in all competitions as his side finished 5th in the division.
The report above shares that the player himself has confirmed that he will be leaving the club and that he has several offers on the table to depart.
Who else could sign him?
Leeds aren’t the only side that are cited in the report with interest in the forward, with plenty of other European sides keen on signing him.
Gent and Anderlecht are monitoring him from Belgium, Dynamo Kiev too, while newly-promoted Burnley are said to be interested, as well as Rangers.
The MLS is also a source of admiration for the Honduran too as he prepares for a very busy summer, expected to see a move from Aris.
Leeds v Spurs predictions?
As much as he’s probably a talented player, it’s hard to say too much about someone with a solid goalscoring record in Greece, a division where the standard isn’t great.
The fact that his contract runs until 2026 means that Aris might be looking for a bidding war, and that’s something we need to avoid.
With there being such interest in the forward, it’s intriguing to see what the future holds for him and whether he is ready for a step up.
