Leeds looked all set to sign David Stockdale a few days ago, but with Leeds unwilling to make the deal permanent and Birmingham not willing to meet Leeds halfway, Leeds have had to move on.

Leeds have instead looked to Chelsea and will bring in Jamal Blackman on a season-long loan, if all goes to plan. The 24-year-old keeper spent last season on-loan at Sheffield United, making 33 appearances. His form for Sheffield United was mixed, with fans even wanting him to return to Chelsea at one point last season. Last season was his first at this level, having previously played for Wycombe in League Two.

He clearly has potential, but it would be a slightly odd move to sign a keeper who has yet to prove he’s better than Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

Let us know what you think, would this be a good signing for Leeds?

  • I Bellis says:

No …….A proven stopper and bpf fighting for No 1 spot or keep bpf and have Miazek as his understudy……..unless there is a 2 for 1 loan agreement with Chelsea for baker and Blackman in the offing.
Baker forshaw and Viera would be a fine midfield imho
