Following Kiko’s calamity in the Play-Off Second Leg and questions over the feasability of being able to afford the 3x Champions League Winner’s wages for another season, Leeds have been prompted to explore the possibility of securing another keeper for the upcoming season.

Further, Bailey Peacock-Farrell has been making some noises over his own future, saying that he will not sign a new contract at Leeds to sit on the bench.

These being Leeds only two keepers means the department could quickly become a pressing concern.

It is not surprising therefore that Leeds are tracking the situation of Bournemouth keeper Mark Travers.

Travers, 20, began his career at the Cherries and has since made just a couple of appearances towards the end of last season. The article claims that Travers is subject to discussions over a new contract down south but this could entail moving on loan to ensure that he garners first-team experience rather than play second fiddle to Artur Boruc.

This is certainly in keeping with what we’ve heard Leeds’ transfer policy will comprise of this season. Young, but allegedly exciting, Premier League loans. Travers would fit the bill, and would certainly be given a welcome chance by a lot of Leeds fans who are clamouring for a safe pair of hands between the sticks following the events that would come to close the end of 18/19 season.
