Leeds ready to sign West Ham striker

Leeds have been extremely quiet on the transfer front, but if West Ham complete the signing of Scott Hogan from Brentford, then we’re almost certain to complete the deal for Ashley Fletcher from West Ham. The way the Hogan transfer is going, this could easily go down to the deadline day itself. This would be a good transfer for me, a good backup to Wood who wouldn’t expect to come in and replace him. He’s only 21 so this would give him good time to develop into hopefully a Premier League striker. It’s always good to sign someone from Yorkshire, too.

We’ll update you on anything else we hear! Let us know in the comments, would you be happy with this signing?

It would be nice to sign a backup striker in case Wood is injured, but our problem for goals has been from the midfield. We play hoofball too often and unless Hernández and Rolfe start having a crack on target we need help to assure promotion. Alas, do we have time for Fletcher to mature or do we need goals until the end of the season to help us go up? I think it’s the latter.
