In a similar fashion to last season when Harvey Barnes was recalled by Leicester City, West Brom face the realistic prospect of Grady Diangana being recalled by his parent club, West Ham.

Diangana, 21, has been crucial for The Albion this season, playing a total of 17 games and racking up 4 goals and 5 assists to his name. Playing across the attack, he’s been influential in how West Brom have gone about their attacking business, making an average of 1.6 key passes per game. Losing this sort of ability would force West Brom to spend big to replace him or use a player with less ability in his position.

Matters won’t be helped by West Ham’s poor performance in the Premier League this season, they sit 15th with Manager Manuel Pellegrini’s future looking uncertain. A change at the top could want to have Diangana’s ability at their disposal as soon as possible.

This isn’t to say Leeds don’t face such a threat of their own. It’s currently in the balance whether or not Eddie Nketiah gets recalled by his parent club, Arsenal, in January. Murmourings have reported that some at Arsenal are unhappy with a lack of game time for the England youth player but Leeds remain hopeful that Eddie will stay.
