Leeds are the front-runners to sign Swiss side Lugano Winger Ezgjan Alioski. He’s scored 19 goals in 50 games for the Swiss super league side. At 25 and having only played in Switzerland, this would be a massive unknown. Leeds have spoken to the President of Lugano and only formalities are left, according to Blick Sport. We’ll bring you more information when we’ve watched a Youtube compilation of him and have convinced ourselves he’s the next Messi.

With both him and Klich we will get the moaners asking the club to spend 15 million on a Jordan Rhodes! The new guys at Leeds know what they are doing IMO. They won’t get them all right but even 100 million doesn’t do that – Di Maria comes to mind – it’s about the ‘fit’ into the squad and the strength in depth.
If unlike all previous seasons we can get our business done early we will be ready to roll.

Klich is a proper player and will be an excellent acquisition, but Alioski is a total gamble. Just watched a highlights reel of him tearing through defences, leaving defenders on their backsides and lashing shots in from 20 plus yards. However, the defenders look terrible and the goalkeepers even worse. I remember Brian Montenegro looked awesome in his highlights reel, but found the Championship too tough to reproduce any of the play that got him noticed. I suppose we just have to trust the new gaffer on this one (or Mr Orta)
