Leeds are reportedly interested in signing Wolves Centre-back Danny Batth. Batth is currently the captain at Wolves but is looking like being out of favour this season. He’s always looked decent against Leeds but a lot of Wolves fans certainly don’t rate him too highly. Leeds are looking for a long-term replacement for Kyle Bartley and partner for Pontus Jansson, Batth would fit that bill. He’s plaed 177 times for Wolves, scoring 11 goals. He featured in 26 league games last season and that number will probably go down if he was to stay there, so it’s extremely likely that he’ll be available.

It’s worth remembering that when we signed Kyle Bartley, some Swansea fans said they’d drive him to Elland Road themselves and although Tom Lees was seen as poor at Leeds, Premier League teams now want him. I’d personally be alright with this signing, but the fact Bellusci played for Leeds yesterday may be clouding my judgement.

  1. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take him and get him off our books, he can’t tackle, he can’t pass in fact he can’t do anything right he’s a bloody liability but just right for you lot

  2. Wolves fans love to have a scapegoat. For years it’s been Dave Edwards. This past season it’s been Danny Batth. Danny is a no-nonsense centre half. He has never really had – and needs – someone more experienced alongside him to help him to learn how to improve in his position. His distribution is suspect, it’s true, but he never claimed to be a midfield playmaker. He gives 100%, would run through a brick wall for the team and scores important goals. I’d be very sorry to see him leave Wolves.
