The only left-back Leeds currently have is Tyler Denton and it’d be ambitious to rely on him all year. Of course Berardi played very well there last year, but he’s not a left-back and if we want promotion, we need better. Well, it looks as if Leeds are set to sign Cameron Borthwick-Jackson from those guys over the Pennines. Jackson is a 20-year-old left-back who has featured 14 times for Manchester United, including 10 league appearances, they all came under Louis van Gaal. He spent last season on loan at Wolves, yet only played 7 times. This is the time in his career where he needs to take the next step and Leeds believe that will be here. Leeds are willing to take him on loan or permanently, due to how highly they rate him.

For me, this would be a good signing. Obviously, he’s not exactly proven but he played for Man United he looked extremely promising. His contract runs until 2020 so a loan may be the best option at this stage.

  1. Need better than Berardi ? Surely this lad will just be back up for the most consistent player last season and possibly the best
