According to Mike McGrath of The Sun, Leeds are looking to sign 25-year-old Ivan Cavaleiro.

This would be a massive move for many reasons, not only is he a top quality player, but he features regularly for Wolves in the Premier League, scoring three times, meaning it would take a hefty fee to pry him away from Molineux. Although he hasn’t played in the Premier League since the 2nd of January in a 2-0 loss against Crystal Palace.

Cavaleiro was a massive part of why Wolves won the Championship so easily and has 2 caps for Portugal. He usually plays as a winger but can really play anywhere as part of a front three. As good as a signing this would be, the potential fee is likely to be more than what we paid for Patrick Bamford and this is Leeds we’re talking about.

On a more positive note, nobody thought we’d be signing Barry Douglas for the price that we did from Wolves either, so they do have form in that department.

This would be about as big an upgrade on Jack Harrison that we could hope for.
