After one German striker appears to have disappeared off the face of the earth, Leeds are apparently interested in signing fellow German striker Marvin Ducksch who plays for Holstein Kiel in Bundesliga II.
He made his breakthrough at Borussia Dortmund before moving to St Pauli. He found it difficult in the Bundesliga so was loaned out to lower division side Holstein Kiel where he has found his form. He is currently top scorer in the division with 10 goals in 14 games.
Although he clearly has potential, I’d really prefer to see Leeds go after someone who can get the job done right now. Out of all the signings this summer, only Saiz has been brilliant and Alioski has shown flashes. We need a some serious quality in January if we’re to have a chance of going up.
Why do we need to go to the German Division 2 when there are better players and value in the English Leagues. It would be yet another complete waste of time and money. Will they ever learn?
