Leeds fans should be hoping for this to happen tonight

|

With Leeds a game or two ahead of playoff rivals, we’re sitting out tonight with the three other teams currently in the playoffs in action.

Sheffield Wednesday are hosting Brentford, on paper, this is a tie they should be winning. Wednesday have won four games in a row whereas Brentford haven’t won for three games. However, goals haven’t been a problem for Brentford, scoring 10 in their last four games. This is a banana skin game for Wednesday and I would not be surprised if Brentford got a result, you’ve got to remember they beat Newcastle and drew against Brighton, albeit both those games were in Brentford. This game shows that Leeds really have no excuses for Saturday, we’ll be much the fresher side. Obviously, we want a Brentford win.

Huddersfield v Reading – It goes without saying here, we want a draw. We want both sides to be within reach if we decide to start being good at football again. If one had to win, I’d go with Reading because I’d rather play them in the semis of the playoffs. Huddersfield are on some ridiculously good form at the minute, winning 5 in a row in the league and drawing at home to Man City. Reading themselves are unbeaten in 6, every time I see a game of theirs they’ve spawned a jammy goal, I’m not bitter I swear. So yeah, we want a draw.

Derby v Burton – Goes without saying we want a Burton win, you’d obviously expect Derby to cruise it, but they have just lost to Cardiff at home 4-3 and drawn 3-3 with Bristol City, so you never know.

QPR v Wigan – Couldn’t care less, go nuts.

Fulham v Bristol City – This is being played tomorrow night, a Bristol City win would be lovely, however Fulham are playing extremely well at the minute. They’ve won 4 Championship games in a row, scoring 8 in the process. They’re 9 points behind us with 2 games in hand, I don’t fancy them being 3 points behind when we go play them. Bristol City can score goals, so it’s likely to be a high scoring game. Bristol City getting a result would really do us a favour.

At the end of the day, it’s in our hands. But this is Leeds and we all know it won’t be that straight forward.
