There will be a collective sigh of relief ringing round all LS postcodes this afternoon as Marcelo Bielsa announced in his press conference today that Pablo Hernandez is fine to play against Norwich city. He added that Hernandez “has trained normally“.

This comes after the winger/central attacking midfielder had to ask to be subbed off after picking up a knock against Rotherham in the closing stages of the game.

Bielsa also went ahead and announced his full side in the press conference, because well…Bielsa. It is as follows: Casllia, Ayling, Jansson, Cooper, Alioski, Harrison, Forshaw, Klich, Roberts, Hernandez, Roofe.

This obviously means Clarke will return to the bench, I’d expect to definitely see him introduced at some point as Leeds fans will remember very well his role as an impact player in games such as Aston Villa.

It also means that Forshaw has been preferred to Kalvin Phillips in the holding midfield role. This is a somewhat surprising announcement as through pre-season Kalvin had this role moulded to his play and Bielsa spoke highly of the development he had made, which was showcased in the opening few games of the season.

Saturday’s game at home to Norwich City will also be a welcome return to the side for Tyler Roberts who many fans have spoken about wanting to see more of. By playing him in the central attacking midfield role, it allows Pablo to play out wide and ensures Pablo has sufficient space in which he can operate as TyRob can drag out and create plays.
