Leeds have tabled a shock bid for Wolves’ Left back Barry Douglas. Douglas was one of Wolves’ best players last season but with Jonny Castro set to join from Atletico Madrid, Douglas will be allowed to leave the club.
It’s not too surprising that Leeds are after a left back, that’s one of the positions that Bielsa has wanted to strengthen all summer. If Leeds do manage to pull this one off though, it will be an excellent signing, there aren’t too many better options available. Douglas played 43 times for Wolves last season, scoring five times and racking up 14 assists. He can also play as a wing back, which suits Leeds down to the ground.
Douglas has one year left on his deal, meaning the transfer fee won’t be too extortionate.
