According to Spanish publication Marca Leeds are all set to sign Barcelona B forward Rafa Mujica. The 20-year-olds contract is set to expire this June, allowing Leeds to sign him on a free.

The forward has played 33 times this season, scoring 7 goals and adding 1 assist. He’d fit right in with that goal-scoring record… In all seriousness, if Bielsa has signed off on a signing it’s likely there’s some real quality to his game. Before Leeds were interested in Dan James I hadn’t heard too much about him but since January James has improved massively, it seems Bielsa can spot a signing.

A player that’s come through Barcelona’s academy is always likely to have some real skill to their game.

This transfer is one of the biggest signs yet that Marcelo Bielsa is likely to be sticking around Elland Road, no matter what division we’re in, which is exactly what we want to hear. It’s good to see the club being proactive rather than reactive, too.
