Leeds United manager Sam Allardyce has shared an update on the fitness of Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo ahead of the final game of the season against Tottenham.

Leeds know that they need a win to stand any chance of staying in the Premier League this Sunday, hoping that Bournemouth and West Ham can do the Whites a favour against Everton and Leicester City.

He won’t be able to call upon a full strength lineup for the home clash against Tottenham, with injuries rife in the Leeds camp at the moment.

Will Rodrigo and Bamford start v Spurs?

A double injury concern for Sam Allardyce emerged in the defeat to West Ham, when both starting strikers Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo picked up injuries during the game, with Bamford being forced off in the first half, while the Spaniard remained on the pitch as Leeds seemingly had no options to replace him.

Such a setback for both players could be a huge blow as Leeds prepare for the final day of the season, and it was the first topic on the agenda in the manager’s pre-match press conference.

When asked about the pair, Allardyce said:

“Rodrigo trained today. Patrick, we’re going to give him as long as we can, we certainly until tomorrow to see where we’re at, before we make our final decision for Sunday.”

Any other Leeds team news?

Other than these two, Leeds have three others definitely absent for the match in Luis Sinisterra, Tyler Adams, and Stuart Dallas.

Meanwhile, Junior Firpo could be in line for a return after serving his one-match ban following a second yellow card against Newcastle.

Leeds need at least one of these two fit and firing for the game, otherwise we can kiss our Premier League status goodbye.

Rodrigo’s goals are going to be crucial, while we look a worse side in build-up when we don’t have Bamford there.

They bring different qualities to the side, but a lack of striker in the starting lineup would be a huge blow to the side.
