As Leeds United look to make the most of the final weeks of the transfer window, scouts have been busy up in Scotland.

The Whites’ youth investment since promotion back to the Premier League has been nothing short of outstanding.

Marcelo Bielsa has received a lot of plaudits for the number of youngsters he’s managed to implement into his match day squad, and the club are continuously focused on keeping the under-23s ticking over.

Leeds’ right-back slot has been surprisingly left short thanks to Cody Drameh’s move to Cardiff Coty earlier in January.

It leaves Mark Jackson with a position that needs recruitment to get back up to scratch, and the club may have set their sights on their man.

Journalist James Nalton has revealed that Leeds were one of a handful of clubs from the Premier League who sent scouts to the Aberdeen v Rangers clash on Tuesday night.

He reveals that the player watched by Leeds, Manchester United, Tottenham and the rest was 18-year-old right-back Calvin Ramsay:

Ramsay came in for a lot of praise from Derek McInnes on Sky Sports as Aberdeen held Rangers to a 1-1 draw (via James Nalton):

“His best form of defence is attack, like most modern fullbacks, and that will appeal to teams in England. I think he’ll go this window. The money for Aberdeen will be tough to turn down. The hope is they get him back on loan.”

It makes a lot of sense that we’re in the market for a young right-back, because Drameh’s career here looks over.

With what’s being said about him here, you can see why plenty of clubs are queuing up to watch him play.

Hopefully, we can show him why he’s someone we like the look of and jump ahead in the race to sign him.

The fact we don’t really have an under-23s right-back could see us push this move hard.
