There have been no bids to sign Leeds United winger Jack Harrison during the summer transfer window.

That’s according to Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth, who says the club remain happy to keep the 25-year-old at Elland Road for the coming campaign.

Despite only joining Leeds permanently from Manchester City last summer, Harrison’s future has been the subject of some speculation in recent months.

Fellow Premier League sides Tottenham and Newcastle have both been credited with an interest in the winger, who scored eight goals in 35 Premier League games last season.

But despite that, it seems that no club made any official bid to sign the winger since the transfer window opened.

Speaking about whether Tottenham have made a bid for Harrison in a QandA for the Yorkshire Evening Post, Smyth wrote: “There was interest in Jack Harrison and a conversation or two but as far as we’re aware no concrete bids. These things sometimes come down to semantics. One man’s bid is another man’s enquiry.

“Every player has a price, of course, but Leeds are more than happy to keep Harrison for next season.”

There are still two years remaining on Harrison’s contract at Elland Road, securing his future with the club until the end of the 2023/24 season.

This does feel as though it will be something of a relief for those of a Leeds United persuasion.

Given the likely departures of both Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha this summer, the club are not going to want to lose to many more of their first-team regulars.

That way, there will be some continuity to the side and starting XI, so keeping Harrison around does have the potential to be useful for the club, especially with the impact he made last season.

With that in mind, this feels like a welcome update for now, although it should be remembered that there is plenty of time remaining in the window for that to change.

Should Leeds let Harrison go if a bid comes in?
