Mateusz Bogusz looks set for a move to the MLS with Los Angles FC as the Leeds United midfielder explores another opportunity away from Elland Road.

Leeds have handed Bogusz only three appearances in their senior set-up, with the club moving a long way on from Marcelo Bielsa at the time it felt like the Polish midfielder could break through.

Bogusz is currently on loan with UD Ibiza in the Spanish second-tier, in what’s his second loan with the club. He’s made 46 appearances, scoring six goals and registering seven appearances for Ibiza, but has reached an agreement to see him break off from his current loan early.

Is Bogusz set to leave Leeds?

It appears so, with Tom Bogert reporting that “LAFC are in advanced talks to sign Polish youth international midfielder Mateusz Bogusz from Leeds United. Not done yet, but getting closer.”

Bogert is the MLS journalist that was on top of Mateusz Klich’s move from Leeds to DC United in the January transfer window.

He clams that “agreement reached from him (Bogusz) to leave (Ibiza) early” as the offer of a fresh start for the 21-year-old lingers.

It’s not clear whether this deal is on loan or permanent, although Bogusz’s last contract at Leeds was only a three-year one signed in the summer of 2020, taking him through until the end of the season.

What nationality is Gracia?

This looks a really good opportunity for Bogusz.

The midfielder quite clearly has no long-term future at Leeds and this appears to be the end of him permanently at Elland Road.

A move to the MLS has its perks and it’s a really exciting opportunity with the World Cup coming up in 2026.

Fingers crossed the midfielder can settle and we start seeing the talent we know he has emerge.
