With Jack Clarke’s move to Tottenham all set to go through early this week, he won’t be staying down there for long after all. According to Phil Hay, Jack Clarke is going to return to Leeds on loan for the entirety of next season.
Interesting – hearing that Jack Clarke will rejoin Leeds United on loan after he signs for Tottenham tomorrow. #lufc

This makes sense for both clubs and the player, Clarke had little to no chance of playing for Spurs this season but if he can play like he did during the first half of last season, he’ll definitely have an impact in the Championship. This news will likely divide opinion, do you accept a player back into the squad that literally just left? If he improves the squad then my opinion would be that it’s a smart move.
We’ve brought in funds to help us sign players like Helder Costa and we still get another year of Jack Clarke. If Clarke turns out not to be the player we thought he might be after Villa away last season, he’d be going back to Spurs in a year anyway.
