On Twitter of late it seems as though some Reading fans have been trying to get a rivalry started and lads, it’s not going to happen. However, we found a decent Reading fan, Dan from The Tilehurst End to answer us some questions before the big game.

How happy are you with how this season has gone for Reading?

Pretty darn happy really, I think you’d struggle to find a Reading fan who thought we’d be fifth with eight games to go. The last two seasons have been miserable affairs, especially after Christmas, so for Jaap Stam to not only come in as a rookie manager, introduce a totally new style and still have us up in the play-offs is a terrific achievement.

Who should we be afraid of on your team?

Team is very much the key word with Reading this season. There’s not that one player that’s going to hurt you but a whole group of individuals that have stepped up when needed the most. John Swift is a very talented young midfielder capable of scoring goals, while Garath McCleary enjoyed a great first half to the campaign, showing the sort of form that saw him score four against your side once upon a time!

Yann Kermorgant is a workhorse up front who’s chipped in with some big goals and is good on dead balls, while Roy Beerens is winger that’ll produce moments of brilliance in between looking rather uninterested!

What did you think about our game at Elland Road?

One of those nights where we didn’t take our chances and got punished by a clinical side. Leeds fans chanted boring boring Reading and yeah it can sometimes be tough to watch, but having so much possession has usually played right into our hands at home, it’s just backfired away!

I like what Garry Monk has built at Elland Road but like the rest of the play-off bunch, I don’t think there’s anything to worry about. We’re all flawed teams that have really taken advantage of some almighty cockups from much stronger squads in Norwich, Derby, Villa etc.

Out of the entire Leeds Squad, which player would you like to take off us?

The obvious answer here is Chris Wood. How can you not want a bloke with 27 goals? I do like Pontus Jansson though.

What’s your prediction for the game on Saturday?

I’ll say 1-1

Finally, who do you think will be promoted and relegated from the Championship?

Rotherham, Wigan and Burton to go down

Brighton, Newcastle and I’d have to say Leeds if I was thinking with my head over heart to go up!

Thanks to Dan for answering our questions, always good to see other team’s fans appreciating our team!
