Liam Cooper captained Leeds United to a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Elland Road on Tuesday evening.
Leeds left it late to beat Palace, with Raphinha stroking home a 94th minute penalty after Marc Guehi had handled a Cooper header.
Despite that crucial role in winning the penalty, it was at the other end of the field where Cooper really shone, as our graphic shows:
In 90 minutes, the 30-year-old’s defensive contribution was immense.
Cooper made six interceptions, 22 ball recoveries, seven clearances and won each of his seven aerial duels.
Additionally, Marcelo Bielsa’s skipper also attempted 79 passes, 87% of which were successful, helping Leeds to build through the thirds.
