Kalvin Phillips has offered a tongue-in-cheek update ahead of Leeds United’s trip to Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.

Leeds’ players had their annual Christmas do earlier in the week, with the Telegraph reporting that Phillips injured his head at the event.

However, the 25-year-old’s injury was not thought to be serious and he’s trained ahead of Leeds heading to Brighton on Saturday evening.

Ahead of the game, Phillips took to social media to tweet a picture of himself making a binoculars gesture with the comment: “Nothing to see here.”

There was a heart in mouth moment when the national reports about Phillips emerged earlier in the week.

Leeds’ form in the Premier League meant there were some raised eyebrows about the timing of the Christmas do (not from us we might add), so the report wasn’t well wholly well received.

Phillips is fine, which is the main thing and what is well received is this update from the training ground: The gesture, the comment, the smiling face.
