Image: Another leaked Leeds United kit reveal looks a classic Andrea Radrizzani gamble

|

Andrea Radrizzani has never been shy with regard to his ‘out there’ preference when it comes to Leeds United’s kits.

Leeds’ Italian Chairman was behind the promotion-winning season’s charcoal and pink number, whilst last year’s maroon kit was another bold choice.

And, for 2021/22, Leeds look like they are about to get another very, very controversial third strip.

Whilst nothing has been confirmed by the club, there have been a number of leaks as to what Leeds’ kit could well look like for the upcoming season.

@LeedsEverywhere are the latest to speculate, sharing images of a lilac kit that looks genuine enough to be the club’s third kit:

We are still waiting confirmation of what Leeds’ home shirt is going to look like for 2021/22 after last year’s popular Adidas reveal. That is likely to come in the next few days.

Leeds will have a white home kit, that’s not really in question, whilst fans’ other preference for the away strip is either yellow or blue. They are traditional club colours and always popular.

However, since Radrizzani became the club’s Chairman, we’ve seen these bold calls when it comes to kits.

They divide opinion, just as a lilac strip would, but they also sell really well with a certain section of the club’s fanbase.

The charcoal and pink kit from 2019/20 did just that, whilst the maroon kit from 2020/21 is really difficult to get hold of at this point, underlining its popularity.

There will be moans and groans if Leeds reveal a lilac third kit, but if Radrizzani sees sales rocket once more, he will have more than justified the call.
