How will Leeds get on at Norwich?

Leeds Vs Norwich Preview

Well it’s kind of an awkward reunion between two sides who competed against each other while in Championship and in League One. The biggest difference between these two sides is that one had decent ownership support and good management which led them to the Premiership and the other did not. However, while Norwich made it back to the big time, they knew that Leeds had all the tools to gain promotion and dangled an ideal carrot for young professionals with an owner who was keen to sell his players and let them join a rival club.

Johnny Howson, Robert Snodgrass and (eventually) Luciano Becchio were sold to Norwich City FC. Bradley Johnson went on a free, too. Fast forward and the only former Leeds players that remain are Johnny Howson and Bradley Johnson (with Becchio being loaned out and unused). It does hurt as a supporter to see those players go and knowing that if they would have stayed, they do possess the quality needed to survive the Premiership. However, those days are in the past and it is time for the new, rejuvenated Leeds United to show these players that the new Leeds is a strong one.

Norwich are coming off of a draw against Rotherham and a loss to Fulham. Norwich will be without their playmaker Wes Hoolahan. This will be good for Leeds who could bring an unchanged squad after Saturday’s loss against Rotherham. However, Leeds fans will be hoping for Head Coach Darko Milanic to add Adryan to the starting 11.

Match Prediction: I fully expect Leeds to bring a fired up squad to Carrow Road. With Coach Milanic claiming to having a “great” response from the players in training, there is no doubt that we could see a very fast paced attacking game.

  • TC says:

    I’d play Bianchi not Austin

  • Niell Adams says:

I think a 2-1 win a little optimistic. Any points from this game would be a great result.

  • Mike says:

I’d play Bianchi over Mowatt, I don’t see why everyone thinks he should start he was easily our worst midfielder against Rotherham. Just because he’s young and from the academy shouldn’t make him a guarantee,
