A brief but thorough look at the fixture’s of the teams who sit around Leeds in the table this midweek:

Sheffield United vs Brentford

The visit of a well respected Brentford side shouldn’t prove too much hassle for the Blades. Whilst The Bees have won 7 of their last 9, Sheffield United have tallied up an equally impressive 8 games unbeaten. This has all the hallmarks of a good championship game, Leeds fans should hope that the unstoppable Said Benrahma brings his A game in order for their to be any chance of Sheff U dropping points. We should also notice that Sheffield’s Oli Norwood is on 9 yellow cards, if he picks one up against Brentford he will miss the game at Elland Road this Saturday.

Norwich City vs Hull City

The Canaries welcome our East Yorkshire neighbours Hull City on Wednesday evening, so if Leeds get the job done on Reading they will be briefly back on top of the Championship as they play on Tuesday. Norwich having won 6 of their last 7 are clear favourites to win this fixture, as they play a Hull side with inconsistent league form to match their inconsistent season.

West Brom vs Swansea City

Though there’s a 7 point gap now between us and West Brom, a couple of dodgy results and they’ll fancy themselves as still in with a punt. Also with the Baggies set to bring in a new manager they may put together a decent run towards the end of the season so they have momentum going into the play-offs. Though Swansea have struggled of late, they clearly have a number of individuals capable of putting on a show (one D. James). Lets hope he can do his real club a few favours on Wednesday evening.
