A brief look at where the team’s around Leeds play this weekend and what outcome works best for Leeds
Norwich City vs Swansea City
The fabled Friday Night Fixture of the Championship. Leeds will be hoping their boy (unconfirmed reports) Daniel James will come through to take at least some points away from Norwich. The Canaries have been in superb form recently and have won 3 on the bounce, the Championship title is firmly in their hands.
Sheffield United vs Rotherham United
Leeds should be thankful that Wednesday held the Blades to a 0-0 in the midweek Steel City Derby. This is another game that kicks off early (12:15) on Saturday, so by the time of kick-off Leeds will know exactly what their main promotion contenders have done that weekend. Whether that’s beneficial or not is up for discussion. You’d expect Sheffield United to take all 3 points in this fixture, unfortunately. Despite some respectable form in recent times from Rotherham, Chris Wilder’s men will be too much for them in this Yorkshire derby.
West Brom vs Ipswich Town
I’m not being funny but why have they all got relatively easy games. (No disrespect to the Tractor boys intended). West Brom have lost 2 on the bounce though so anything could happen, this is The Championship at the end of the day.
All in all, I think that makes Leeds vs Bristol City, once again, the tie of the weekend. The numbers are all becoming very clear for Leeds, and it basically says no more careless points dropped.
