Leeds United have struck an agreement to extend the contracts of exciting young trio Crysencio Summerville, Sam Greenwood, and Joe Gelhardt.

The Whites have perhaps conducted some of their most shrewd business of the summer this week by securing the futures of three of their most talented assets.

It was confirmed on Tuesday morning that young attacking players Greenwood, Summerville, and Gelhardt had all signed extensions to their contracts, keeping them at the club for the foreseeable future:

As the three of them prepare for what could be a big season, plenty of their teammates have shared their reactions to the news…

Adam Forshaw

Up first is a man who has perhaps had more chance to see these players up close than others, with Forshaw having to feature prominently in the under-23s in recent seasons in order to build up his fitness.

A core figure in the dressing room, and a fellow Liverpudlian to Gelhardt, he was delighted to see these three tied down to fresh terms, as he posted this on his Instagram story:

Stuart Dallas

Dallas won’t be able to see these players flourish in the Premier League from close up right now as he continues to rehabilitate from his leg injury, but he’s another that has been, and will continue to be key to players like these three.

As the news emerged, he too posted on his Instagram story to share his delight:

Rodrigo

Another key leader in the group is Rodrigo, and it goes to show how important these three are going to be to the side when they are drawing such delight from the rest of the side.

Rodrigo commented under the club’s official post in Instagram with this simple message:

Tyler Adams

New signing Tyler Adams has already made himself at home with the Leeds squad and fans, showing what he can do during the pre-season win over Cagliari.

He was as joyous as the rest to see this announcement, and commented this under Gelhardt’s post in Instagram:
